SLEW Day 4: Worship Stations

Today, we broke out of our regular chapel cycle to try something different: chapel stations! Our student body separated for today's chapel to participate in service work with Mr. Gehman, group prayer with Mr. Bush, worship time with Kevin Derstine, hymn sing with Mrs. Tann and Mr. Derstine, and a prayer labyrinth with Mr. Yoder, just to name a few. Tomorrow, we will regroup for our last day of Sprititual Life Emphasis Week.

    Coughing Kids in Chapel

Lord, please bless the people who are sick and hacking away.
(Poor congested lungs and allergies to mold.) Bless ‘em!
    Those with swine flu—bless ‘em!
Those who have runny noses and the sneezies—bless ‘em!
Bless ‘em with good Kleenex and tasty cough drops.

Those who are dealing with sports injuries—bless ‘em!
And those dealing with the illnesses of parents—bless ‘em!

Some are sick and some are sick of school—bless ‘em!
    Some are homesick—oh, bless ‘em!
Bless ‘em with phone calls and mail and friendly faces.
Some are outer sick and some are inner sick—bless ‘em both!
Heart sick and tummy sick and mind sick—bless ‘em!

Some are sick with stress—bless ‘em!
Bless ‘em with health and happiness.
Bless ‘em with wholeness and patience.
Bless ‘em real hard with grace and only lightly with affliction.
Bless ‘em with your presence and (just so they appreciate it,
Bless ‘em with your absence, but only a little bit).

Bless ‘em with our love and concern.
    Bless ‘em to bless others.

    Bless ‘em, Lord,
    Just bless ‘em!
